Planes, Automobiles at Model Show - C&C Appreciated

    All,

Finally got around to processing these this week. The are from a Model Fair (Model as in Boats, planes, cars...vice people) I visited last week. C&C Appreciated - especially in terms of composition and post processing. Full Gallery is here, below are the ones that I feel came out the best.

The First two are using 1:2.43 Crop Ratio in LR. I heard about this in a KelbyOne video and gives a bit of cinematic view to the photo.

    1. Spirit of St Louis (ISO 2500, F/8.0, 1/160 s)

    2. SBD Dauntless (ISO 2500, f/5.0, 1/200 s)

    3. Cockpit Closeup (ISO 2500, f/8.0. 1/160s). I used a bit of vignetting in this one to draw attention to the pilot.

    4. Small very detailed models..(ISO 2500, F/8.0, 1/100s)

    5. Another closeup of a very detailed model. (ISO 2500, F/8.0, 1/100s) I really like the artwork that was one not these models and hoped to capture some of those details

#1 is very nice...The special effect of the cowling is most beautiful. Made of aluminum and the 3D effect was made using how big the dowel is to create this design. The actual original airplane is located in the Smithsonian but the airplane that was used in the movie starring James Stewart is the one that is displayed here at Lambert Airport in St. Louis...

All good shots, Erik..I like the last one too -- with the very detailed artwork...

    Well done..

    Thanks John.

Thanks Izzie - I really like the details on the cowling of the Spirit of St Louis, and always amazed at seeing the original in the Smithsonian. I am glad the last photo caught your eye, I was really trying to capture the details that they put into these models.
