In this picture, I have tried to capture some activities going on in a street, where all the elements are positioned in circular form and all are having their own different life condition. Here is the B&W version. Kindly share your views .

Nice capture, very animated scene. Might be a bit dangerous to bend over near so many goats, but I would have chosen a lower angle.

I like the image Tejal. Everything in the image seems to have a story and when I look at it I just wonder

The shadows are dark and lack detail; but what else could you do? If shot Raw, you might be able to increase Fill Light a little. But attempting to brighten shadows can easily change them to a muddy brown instead of black. So I think you have done well to photograph what you have here.

Apart from some of the technical points others have made, I'd like to ask you "what is the subject of your image".

There has to be something in an image that catches the viewers attention and that should be the subject of the image. If there is any confusion as to what the subject is, then the image is not as strong as it could be. I can't answer that question by looking at this shot.

As the title says, the subject is the street Manfred. It is a street with tired buildings and probably people with difficult life conditions live there.Just my guess, Tejal knows much better than me

Binnur - that was my point. The subject is too broad and busy to work well as an image. With all the goats, people and motorcycles, the street gets lost in the "noise". The title says "Street", but the first thing I see is the goats, then I notice the motorcyles and then the people and then the brighter area up the street. Without the title I would never have guessed that the street was the intended subject.

Without a strong subject and complementing composition and technical aspects all working together, the photograph is not as strong as it should be.

    Hi Tejal,

All those tones...crying out for black and white! Ah wouldh've chucked a stone at the rump of the goat in the middle tae get it tae move. Ah disagree with Manfred, it's about the moment; ye couldn't "compose" the goat on the bike. Yer there - it happened - ye snap it.

AH may be wrong but ah think that "street" is describing the genre and not the title of the photo...

I was thinking the same thing myself. With a scene that is busy, B&W often works wonders by simplifying everything to just tonal values.

I just found the scene amusing, man working while goats frolicking.

    Hi Manfred !!

Yes, as mentioned by Binnur I have tried to showcase a street, where all the elements in the frame are positioned in circular form and all have their own condition. Some technical parts.....yes, I will surely take care next time for a better shot. Thanks for your feedback .

I see your point Manfred May be the title should have been 'life on a street'.

    Re: Street - C & C are welcome

Tejal, I think you have a very good image here, and the B&W conversion was both good and necessary. Necessary because these scenes (at least to me) seem to translate much better in B&W rather than color, because it's more about the tones, shapes, textures, all of which lend to the gestalt of the image.

Regarding Manfred's comment about subject; to me the entire image IS the subject, one in which the eye can roam about, exploring all the nuances within the image. I see these images as an analog to landscape photography. The *subject* could be an individual, much as the *subject* could be a tree, while and entire street scene is equally the *subject* as is that of a panoramic landscape shot.

What I really like about this image is the balance of three people and three animals. The man to the left/center is occupied, as is the dog on the motorcycle. The man on the right is likewise occupied, but the goat has stopped supervising and is looking at us. Meanwhile in the distance an man is disappearing out of the scene and this has captured the attention of the dog in the middle of the image. I just think this is a very well captured street scene that has a lot going on, all of which captures my attention.
