I am not a portrait expert Travis but I like the poses of this lady. I do not particularly like your background though. I like the last one best. I should have chosen #2 too but the background needs tidying...
Nice efforts, a few are a bit soft on focus; but perhaps that was your intentions. 2nd image is my favorite.
Gotta agree with Izzie. The backgrounds are not for my taste. Like the poses though.
Nice work Travis, but I will have to agree with Izzie, the backdrops are not working for me either. I find them rather distracting. A roll of seamless rather than a cloth drape would work a lot better for you.
As for the shots you've taken, they well executed and most of the things I might point out are quite niggly details.
Nice series Travis, I agree about the backdrop, but I'm sure the lovely Jess will pose for you again
Very nice images Travis, I like them all
The B&W conversion looks good Richard, but I find the vignette a bit heavy-handed. I use vignettes in most of my images and I try to dial them back so that they are barely (if at all) noticeable. I think the shot needs one to keep the viewer's eyes from running off the edges.
For me, it's close, but the B&W wins by a hair!
Thanks for the comments and suggestions.. Richard, I have been working on black and white conversions of these shots...you are so right that they look better in monochrome.
