Nice captures. Were any of these images cropped?

Thanks John! The first one was cropped quite a bit if I remember correctly. The second very little, if any, and the 3rd one was cropped a good amount.

All of them are good shots, but I prefer #2 better because of its pose, where it is standing on that twig that seems it cannot support him, and of course, he looks spunky.

These are brilliant Barbara. Well captured, and impressive pp. Would want to know what you're using, software wise. Regards, Johann.

Thanks Izzie! He was looking around for nesting materials.

Thanks Johann, I use Canon DPP to convert to Tiff and then OnOne software.

Beautiful captures again Barbara. All three of them are good but the second one is just excellent. You must live in a wonderland of birdlife.

    Hi Barbara,

Would the first stand a little increase in contrast? (perhaps just to the bird, so as not to brighten that cloud any)

And the second; if mine, I'd crop a little off the left hand edge, say 6-7% of image width.

Great captures as usual from your good self.

    Thanks, Dave

Another three fabulous shots Barbara. I don't know why but I pick the last one as my favourite.

Thank you John! I live near the coast and am surrounded by marsh land and beaches (that is the good, the bad, lots of chemical plants ) We have a very mild winters and very warm summers. The birds love this area so we do have all kinds that live here year round and then during winter and spring migratory birds in and through.

Dave, I think it could use it but I was afraid to over do it. This a bird that I have only seen in person 2 times and so I was not able to get as close as I would have liked. This is a quite a crop and noise was a bit of an issue . I will see what happens if I up the contrast. Looking at number 2 I can see what you mean and will see what cropping looks like. Thanks for commenting and the great suggestions!
