Shaking off the rain
Just after a heavy downpour was about to stop, this lioness in the Serengeti shaked her free. 30 minutes later the pride went to hunt - we could not follow them (no offroad driving allowed).
What do you think?

Re: Shaking off the rain
This is an engaging moment well captured, Erwin. I like the rich hues in this cloudy, damp light and I think your shutter speed is great for showing the water droplets.

I love this kind of shot. It gives you the opportunity to capture a moment that cannot be appreciated as much in real time. I think the water spray and expression are great. Very nice shot.

Re: Shaking off the rain
It is not a normal lioness shot and I like these kinds...maybe I am the one not normal...

A moment perfectly captured. I like the water drops and the look on her face is fabulous. Well done.

Re: Shaking off the rain
John, Mark, Barbara, Bob, Nandakumar, Izzie and Graham thank you for having a look and appreciating.
@Izzie: nothing wrong with your taste; this is a normal behavior of wet cats
@Barbara: behavior is in many respects the same as in a normal house cat; but I have to fight my urge to treat them the same way, for example patting/petting them
Thanks, Erwin

Re: Shaking off the rain
Awesome capture Erwin!
As Barbara said, it shows the relation between these wild cats and domestic house cats
