By Jove Matt, I think your getting the hang of this photography lark
Thats a seriously nice landscape sir, very well captured, makes me want to knock the mud of my walking boots and get out there !
Raining here too...and for a few days yet....this is absolutely beautiful....!!!
Nicely done.
Beautiful!
Matt it is beautiful!
Well done Matt.
Thanks guys, I've got a few other compositions of it I'll post later.
Nice shot. I like the narrow ribbon of road leading into the distance.

That's a great landscape composition Matt. Works at a glance and works in detail. The colours after rain are really rich and evening light worked well for you. I must say I let nasty weather get between me and the great outdoors too much but, looking at this one, I'll be getting out my all weather gear and heading for the hills which, here in Wexford / Wicklow, are very like your local terrain.
Great shot!
Very nice view and image. I take it that this is somewhere in South Wales.

Hello Matt
great composition - the rocks in the forground continuing in the road as a leading diagonal. Extraordinary "fresh" light; I can feel that the air is cleansed.
Very nice image Matt, I also like your PP style with strong greens very much
Simply lovely, Matt. Swell job with light and hues.
Interesting shot, Matt. I think I would have probably taken a similar shot to yours, had I been standing beside you and would have used that large rock in the foreground to anchor my shot as well. I've always tended to do this, especially with a wide angle lens to put something of interest into the foreground.
Looking at it, though, I find the rock distracting as it pulls my eyes toward it and keeps me from looking into the scenery ahead.
I think the next time I run into this kind of shot, I might work the scene with and without the rock to see which one works better.
Regardless. a wonderful shot, in spite of the weather doing its best to spoil it.
Thanks Manfred, there are a couple of variations of what is essentially the same shot here: Three more from yesterday...
