Outstanding in their field
What appealed to me about this scene is the play of round balls and straight lines of grass.
I was not sure how it would best be portrayed, so the challenge was to bring out the graphic elements of the picture.
Please c&c.

Re: Outstanding in their field
Well-spotted! As you say, a nice combination of straight stems and round seed-heads.

Re: Outstanding in their field
Hi Marie. I like this. I like how it draws my eye to the center flowers, and then leads me to the upper right... The same way the light seems to flow.

I agree with all of the above: well seen, thoughtfully, creatively, and successfully managed, Marie.

JohnR,
This was one of those images that you walk by, then turn and walk by a few more times just to see what attracts you to a scene.

Re: Outstanding in their field
Dear Matt and John,
When I brought up the raw file, I was more intrigued with how the white flowed across the image in a such a fluid line. Kodiak showed me how to achieve what I wanted without overprocessing the image.

Thanks, Kim!
As soon as I saw the river flow of dandilions down the bank, I knew I wanted to try to capture it.

Hi, Binnur!
B&W really helped to define the graphic component, didn't it?
Thanks for looking and commenting!

Dear Grahame,
Agreed on printing. I thought a metallic paper would be cool.

Re: Outstanding in their field
Tom and Mark,
I thank you. Sometimes I agonize over the question of will it work....or not? Will others see what I see?
Thanks for looking and commenting.
