Light and Shadows - C&C Welcome

Hi, going forward on my photography venture I stopped and clicked another shot. Can you please review it and let me know what exactly is missing for it to make it much better?

Scene was covered with Haze and the sun just came out from the clouds (Just after the celestial light shot)

so had a little hard time to fetch details from the RAW.

Please provide your views and suggestion with composition, frame, crops and processing.

Raj...I like the first image better but if mine, I will crop it closely down from the top to the yellow grass. I like the lower view better here with that crop. For me the top one doesn't really do anything for me.

On looking at the original shot, if you want to include both the top one and the graduated rice paddy (?) below, crop from the top to put the village (township?) on the third of the frame and you can include the rice paddy down below successfully. Just my opinion...

Nicely recovered, I had a similar shot of people emerging from the fog. My initial thoughts were to add maximum contrast, clarity, and vibrance. I liked the results but wonder if the too crisp look would be enjoyed. You did a lot with what you had.

I'd love to be as good as you at processing images! What a great job you've done to bring the image out of the haze.

The second is saying me more. I should give it some more contrast so you get more perspective, third dimension, in it.
Is the first a crop of the second?
