    Playing with colours

Going through some older software disks, I rediscovered some plug-ins that actually work in PS CC,
Had to play with them of course. Hope you can stand one more tulip photo.

    2. And after some playing around:
    Playing with colours

I'm not sure if it's an improvement, but I do like the way this came out. Your thoughts?

I like the original best. To me the second one looka like the flowers are dieing. May be if it were slightly brighter.

Now that you mention it.... a second pair of eyes always helps.
Thanks for the feed back. I'll keep that in mind when I try this plug-in on another picture.

I like the second as it looks like illuminated by candlelight.

It works on some pictures, but looks really bizarre on others - but it's fun to rediscover software I didn't realize I still had - and have it work in the newest PhotoShop - although only in the 32 bit version.

If you have Nik's software, look at ColorFX and you will see and use a lot of bizarre effects like this one and you can pick and choose to adjust via sliders how more intense or not your image will turn out. I am very visual so I like the first one better, Kris...sorry, but I like beautiful. And yes, I can stand another tulip shot...

Hi Kris, I like them both as I'm open to different effects on the images IMO #2 needs a bit improving though. The effect on the flowers doesn't exist on the green leaves . I would try to get the same effect on the leaves in order to have consistency in the image

    Hi Binnur,
I masked the first edit, because the colour effect on the leaves looked a little strange IMO. Just for your viewing pleasure, here is the unmasked version. (Before I went crazy with some special effects)

    ahh , I can sing a rainbow

nice, on a personal level I prefer the real tulips - but this is certainly worth playing with. I am sure there are other subjects that this will really 'pop' with

The real question is what is your objective , the original is very vibrant and well composed , nice exposure too . The artistic pics are neat howerever for me they seem to lose some of the details

    Re: Playing with colours

The original looks fresh( i wanted some misty spray on it make it more refreshing ). Mark has some point in his comment as the colors of the petal looks like putrefied flesh, a sign of death and decay. But that is another phase of life...and i find no reason to dislike it
