Nice leading lines and I like how the strollers in the background are looking at something behind the fence.
Very nice conversion to B/W...I like addition of the noise in the image too. My eyes goes to that scribble near the face of the man who is smoking a cigarette though. No matter how I looked at it, I tend to think that it is a smoke from his cigarette which was somehow displaced. Looking at it in lytebox, I think the closeness to the face of the guy is a distraction. Just my opinion...+1 to John's comment above me. I think that is an interesting question that begs an answer to the thought of "what are these people looking at?" question. There must be something beyond that fence that made everyone look at that direction...
Cheers, nicely caught...
Thanks John. What caught my eye was the guy smoking, stood perfectly still, completely detached and basically only moved to bring the cigarette to his lips. When I first spotted him I thought he was a store manikin.
Thanks Izzie, I see what you mean about the graffiti near the guy's face, hadn't noticed it before. Easy enough to go back in and clone that out.
As for what was going on on the other side of the wrought iron fence....tis a mystery indeed.
I like the black and white Jack, it immediately draws my attention to the guy in the foreground with his white jacket. From there I start to explore the other people in the image and is the guy on the far right setting up a shot with a camera?
We have a Charles Street in Launceston, I will post an image for you to compare
Thanks Greg. Yeah that's the other thing, the guy smoking is the only person in white, so he did kind of stand out, that and the fact he appeared to be very tall and kind of out-of-place looking. I didn't notice before but the guy on the far right does appear to be setting up. The way his hands are suggests to me he might be using his phone.
Definitely post up a shot of your Charles Street, be cool to compare.
Well captured Jack, and a nice conversion!
Thanks David!
Nice conversion , nice image
Thank you Binnur!
