Nice composition, has a feeling of weight although the butterfly would be conceived as weightless.

Hi Jim
I like the composition and the dark BG suits the image very well.I would darken the bright part of the BG on the left though. Very nice details on the butterfly.

Even thought I'm not a fan of a plain black bg for these types of images, you have captured the butterfly and thistles beautifully!

It is flower heavy Ziggy but I like it...the butterfly looks more delicate in comparison to where it landed.

fantastic focus. it would be a lot of work but perhaps taking out remaining bg and just leaving in the stalks, thistles and butterfly?
