For the first time in my life, I am left speechless by these creatures you took. I like #1 and #2...they are pretty and the expressions are priceless. I like the framing too.

Wonderful shots David. I have taken a few dragonfly's lately but no wear near as detailed!

    All amazing captures...

The 1st is my absolute favourite (artistic and those eyes), followed by #2 for the detail, pose/smile and the umbrella he is holding.

Incredible captures. I find they all ( most) have big eyes for such small creatures.

ho hum, the bar goes up another notch very good David.

I love the last - shows how they tuck the front legs up behind the head

    Great series David,

#1 is an unusual angle (well done), I bet if we tried that, it would fly away before we got close.

I'm blown away by the detail in #5.

As Mark says, #5 also shows the fore-leg 'stowage', whereas #4 highlights the 'corrugated' contours of the wing structure, something I first noticed on one of my better shots (a while ago now).

Cheers Dave, it is quite surprising just how close you can get to these guys, if your patient

I had never noticed the leg tuck until you mentioned it to me last year, now I find it strange if all six are down
