Lots of character, nicely captured and converted.
Nicely done!
Excellent conversion but I would like to see the left hand edge of the building
What a beautiful view from this side of the image...by the looks of the nearly fresh firewood, is this still habitable?
Great image
Great view and you captured it well. Maybe the white on the roof is just a little hot?
Thanks John, Doug and Kaye for your comments .
Izzie, the building is on a dairy farm and only used to store junk so not inhabited.
Jim, I think you might be right in hindsight with the white on the roof, a quick edit will fix that.
Chris here is a shot from a different angle to show more of the building.
Regards, Greg
Nice shotsAfter seeing the color image, I think #1 would look nice in color too.
Here is the colour version of #1 for Binnur
Then here is my last shot. Took it on the way to work this morning, wanted to get the early light on the mountains.
Didn't stay long, as you can see by the frost on the ground it was cold -5 so I found out later
BTW love the un-haze slider in camera RAW, absolutely brilliant.
Regards, Greg
Love the original colour, Greg...Very beautiful ...
You've got a lovely series here - perhaps expand over the year to see how the light changes and foliage around the 'house' develops ?
Thanks for uploading the color version GregI actually prefer the color photo because I loved the kind of rusty look of the roof and all colors and textures suit each other very well, also the building stands out better with its different color. IMO some warm toning (may be a kind of sepia) and some contrast and structure adjustments might help the B&W image .
IMO the green-blue color of the frost needs fixing a bit in your last photo but gorgeous light on the mountains, I loved it![]()
Thanks Izzie![]()
Thanks Kaye, the house is about 45 minutes drive from home and I only go out that way when I'm working in the area.
As for the foliage, I reckon the sheep and cattle would keep it at a minimum![]()
Thanks for the comments and tips Binnur the light on the mountains was magic. Lovely bit of country side out there.
Cheers, Greg
Very nice images! I am a fan of the color versions.
