Everything about this photo works for me -- the monochrome conversion, the relatively high-key mood, the depth of field, the very hip woman and especially the juxtaposition of her sunglasses with the lamp (as if it is needed in such bright sunlight requiring her to wear the sunglasses). An exceptional image all the way around!

Very nice, John. Pity about the graffiti.

You made me think -- the graffiti is strategically position, what's your problem?

If I encountered this woman, I would be reading the music and trying to hum the notes. But possibly all she would see would be me staring at her chest

Seriously, I don't understand people's need to deface their bodies with tattoos. It is probably not as distracting as the scrap metal in her face, though.

    Very nice John,

Some selective sharpening might help here I think, her mouth, glasses lens and the texture on her singlet could benefit from a bit of pop. I brushed in a sharpened layer in those areas and it worked quite well.

And you chuckled with my "kid in a candy store" comment...

    Good work as always.

A lovely image. The killer feature is that eye showing through the sunglasses, not to mention the décolletage.
