    Wine glass and its lid

When I removed the wrapping from this plastic wine glass, I envisioned various presentations of the glass without the wrapping because that's how it is used. I settled on these two styles, partly because they are so different from each other.

    Setup
The background is translucent white acrylic in both photos. The tabletop in the first photo is very thin glass and the tabletop in the second photo is opaque black acrylic. A medium continuous-light lamp was shining through the background toward the subject and camera in both photos. Cool colors were added to the tabletop in the second photo during post-processing.

I just knew you couldn't resist shooting those.

Nicely done, given the subject matter....

I don't like the line between the horizontal and vertical plane is going through the foot of the "glass".

Thank you, everyone! I sure did enjoy photographing the glass without the wrapping a lot more than photographing it with the wrapping.

George: What would you do with the line -- eliminate it or put it somewhere else? If the latter, where?

More distance from the vertical plane. The foot of the glass belongs to be on the floor, not the wall. If it doesn't has a function, no line. As it is now it looks weird to me.

The images look nice, but I still couldn't get used to the idea of a wine glass with a lid

    Thank you, Binnur!

Thanks for the explanation, George. It's interesting to me that you see the line as a demarcation between a floor and wall of sorts. In reality, there is no vertical plane near the line. The line is the edge of the tabletop. I tried a few compositions positioning the base of the wine glass extending partly beyond the edge of the tabletop but didn't like any of them.
