    Spring in Glencoe

I would appreciate any comments or suggestions about this photo taken on a recent trip to Scotland

    Hi Martin,

That's better, I'll remove the now unnecessary messages about no (and small) image shortly.

Now we can see it large, I can detect a small amount of uncorrected Chromatic Aberration (CA) , this should be fixable in LR5.7.

Other than that, the image has a good tonal range and exposure and is well sharpened.

I did wonder whether it was just a tad over saturated in the green+yellow grasses, or perhaps my eyes are being tricked by the CA, since the grass in dead centre, where CA is minimal/non-existent, looks OK.

My only other thought is that I feel it needs a definitive point of interest in the middle distance, perhaps human (not brightly garbed though) - it's just a thought - but since I'm not a regular landscape shooter myself, I may be misguided.

    All the best, Dave

Nice capture of the clouds/mist over the hilltops, striking contrast between background and foreground, and good use of leading lines.

+1 from me. This, I guess, is how it is - isolated and mostly empty.

+1 for me too...I was just about to mention the clouds as I love them hovering in my shot too...

Thinking about Dave's comment concerning the need for a definite point of interest.

Would a slight crop from the top and left side, to reduce the sky a little, actually concentrate more on the distant valley; which would then become that far off focus point?

Am I seeing little people on a distant road; on the left side? I would clone them out. The colour, particularly that blue spot, is a little bit distracting.

They look like road signs to me. Either clone them out or reduce the saturation/brightness around the signs to make them less noticeable would be a good thing in my opinion.

Martin very good shot, the colours are exactly as I remember from my trip 2 weeks ago, thanks to our climate!
