A great picture. I take it that this is a Fritillary of some kind. I am intreagued by the white fringe along he edges of the wing. Is this a feature of the butterfly or is it due to some form of backlighting.

Very nice Jim, got to love the Frits they are so great for patterns and that rich colour. Good contrast against the flower and stand out on the background
