    My guess Jim is that the deer survived the savage attack from your ferocious cat, I could be wrong

    What actually happened? I've never seen or heard deer interacting with a pussy cat (as distinct from a cougar).

    Animal to animal, they can actually interact with one another without being vicious I suppose...as long as they are not threatening...with Mr. Rusty, even if his looks is not on the soft side, the deer (venison in my eyes really), doesn't feel threatenedby him. My presence would be more threatening perhaps...
