    Cornwall at it's best

Here is one of the nicest parts of the UK, second runner up is the Gower Peninsula in Wales but I've yet to go there. Also some parts of Ireland are nice as well, but have to have a car to get round there as seeing as I don't have one; this is not a possibility so Cornwall will do.

This is known as Hellsmouth, the drop is over 500ft, higher most likely and no fence. So watch out.

Hells mouth café. You can get sense of what it was like before the invention of the car. It also gets very windy here. Have seen a cardboard box fly across the road and over the cliff edge after being blown out of the rubbish bin.

Lands End is a great place to visit (when it's not raining) it's also extremely windy so I wouldn't bother about brushing your hair or trying to keep a hat on.

Here is Lands End stitched together in one photo (hopefully)

There is a small farm on the end of the point

Here the hens have their own private lake which they can drink from, and possibly swim in (if they want)

These hens have the best view in the UK

Cornwall has gorgeous scenery. I have not visited Land's End for many years, though I have waved to it from the Scillonian ferry. I would also guess that the Land's End centre is very different from what it was in the 1970s. Nice pictures.

I like the impression of depth in your images (the so-called 3D effect) meaning that your selection of aperture and focus plane was just right, e.g., in that first shot. Not too sure about the chicken though

Elsewhere, on a site far away, Sigma DP2 Merrill owners tend to post shots where every blade of grass is micro-detailed all the way from the foreground to distant grassy hillsides. Yours beat those handsomely, IMHO.

P.S. please take an extra point for, apparently, post-processing in Picasa (I peeked at your EXIF data).

Thanks for your kind comments. Lands End had changed since the 1970's (almost put the 1770's!)This is the model village.

Mmmm. As a Scot, I think we'll need to have a discussion about this!!
