Two different ways: recreation

I like it when in a photo there are some contrasting elements. Recreation means for some a physical effort, for others just the opposite.

That are dyke houses. On the top of a dyke. On the back side there is the river Amstel.

This was the Amsterdam Marathon 2014. Exactly half way.

Answer: a quick Google+Wikipedia suggests it is "themselves", in as much as people undertaking recreation are refreshing themselves (mentally).

I'm getting the feeling there's something wrong with the word recreation. You can do that active or passive. Running or watching others running.

Like Richard I will be under the tree too but on a different mission: I'd to look at legs and tight butts in shorts and if there are men without tops on, I'd enjoy looking at their 6 packs too... women's legs with muscles ain't my thang!

I know that one different.
I like working. I can watch that for hours.

A marathon exists out of a small part of prof runners and a huge part of "recreative" runners.
These are the prof runners, the world best. For Izziek, all male legs. The ladies are comming later.

Who or what is a DIL?

Another shot from the other side of the bridge,2011. The shoes look alike. I warn you, there isn't much meat on those guys.
Standing on that bridge in the turn gives you the possibility to shoot en-face and en-profile.
