    Tabletop photography

My other past time was metal detecting but bad knees put an end to that. I would shot my finds with a Canon G11 on a copy stand and lighted flat panel. The two lights were lit with natural daylight bulbs. I don't use this setup anymore but thought you might like a peak at what I shot.

These were originally processed to post on a light colored background so you will see some spots on this darker forum background.

That looks like a pretty standard copy setup, Dave.

I see a lot of Eastern Ontario (Perth and Brockville) artifacts in your finds.

Interesting set of "finds" there, Dave... What is that background you are using underneath...it looks like an iPad or is that part of your set-up? Is it a copy stand? There is not much difference between the original shot shown here and the expanded shot at all...Just thinking out loud...

It is a flicker free lighted flat panel. Helps to remove all shadows so I could make the image background transparent.

Yes, I did a lot of detecting from Stratford to Ottawa. I live in Sudbury now.

Your set-up is interesting...I thought it is an iPad. A good while back a member here in CiC took some flower photography and she used an LED flat lighting that can be positioned flatwise like yours and also stood up to suit and it was beautiful.
