Is this a process of cleaning the river here? dredging whatever is there underneath the waters? It is a busy scene -- and the bicycles is a bit distracting so which one is actually your subject here?

The living bicycles, the to be, watching the dead bicycles, the not to be, being dragged out off the canal.

Question is George; did they fall or were they pushed?

I was going to say it would have been better without the foreground bright orange saddle cover, but it does co-ordinate well with the crane jib

It's an interesting concept to be saddled with but it doesn't ring any bells. Interestingly George (for me that is), this could be a scene in Copenhagen. Even the canal side architecture is very similar.

I was there three years ago and this brings out memories. It's a nice depiction of what I remember. The allusion to Shapespeare does not quite work for me.

The title is just a wink to another thread with "to see or not to see" in the title.

Once in a while the canals are cleaned from heavy stuff, such as bikes, bed springs etc. and then digged out. People are always looking to what comes up. So the bikes.

Off topic but George, did you go around in a car to look for shots to take or do you use a bike with a backpack behind you? If you did use a bike, how would you know later on, which one is yours with all those bikes over there in the bike park?

I don't have a bike. Just behind the station there is a place to park your bike and a nice guy is guarding them.

That's a lot of bike, George...can I just go and get me a good model from there and take it home with me instead of the bike that I have brought over there with the training wheels? J/K....but really, lots of bikes -- seriously how does one get to the ones that are on top?

    With a special construction.

There is also a special bike, a beer bike as we call it. You can have beer while biking. Withe the same result as in a pub. Mostly british bachelor parties.

Very funny shot, George -- Is that a boob sitting down on that chair? And an open rest room? Your culture is very strange indeed...
