Couldn't Resist It

I got an email from Serif.com offering four programs for $4.00 USD.
Panorama Plus V4, Album Plus X4, Montage Plus and Pop Art Plus

I am sure that I already have the capability offered by these four programs but I am a bit interested in the Montage Plus and the pop Art Plus programs. And what the heck, four U.S. Dollars won't make a major difference in my life style and "Curiosity Killed The Cat"

Serif often offer older software at a knockdown price to get new customers. Those programmes look like being around 4 years old. Serif produce good stuff; its just their sales technique that bothered me.

In the old days a rep would phone you twice a year for a cozy chat about any topic and saying 'not interested at the moment' was considered to be an acceptable answer. I mostly gave up with them a few years ago when they started getting forceful. I still use some of their software, like Page Plus, but always purchase through a third party now, and never register myself.

I don't mind "forceful" telephone sales people. It gives me a chance to exercise my sailor's vernacular (as long as my wife isn't in the room) which most often ceases the calls...

I only hear Bill and his sailor's mouth when watching Fox News...it means he is awake while watching TV... otherwise I have to check on him to see if he is still alive.
