    Roker Illuminations

Had a wander out last night with a couple of mates to see if a shot or two could be had from the illuminations our local council put up each year.

Quite happy with these three from my first run through the resulting Lightroom import...

First shot is from my iPhone using an app called SlowShutter. Had it on a tripod and triggered its using my Watch.
Its a great app as you can see the shot build live as the exposure progresses.

These two are from a (proper) camera.
Took the K30 outfit with my as its nice and light but still knocks a decent DNG for tweaking.

    Hello Robin,
Focusing on your #2 and 3 there is much to like when I review your work!
2: A grand monochrome conversion, fine lines and detail. Shadows, light and symmetry are all beautiful.
3: The pattern as well as the colour tones are very appealing for the eyes to view.

If I may ask, how did you accomplish the appealing pattern in 3?

Hope this review of mine will support you. Good show.

Wonderful shots. I have to agree with Binnur, #2 is just awesome in detail, and the contrast is great.

I also think that #1 is a terrific exposure. Great job. I have the SlowShutter app, I must have a closer look at it sometime!

Thanks for the reply and feedback, much appreciated.

The patterns are from the older style hexagonal aperture in my Pentax lens which I de-focused to blur the LED lights.
