Kay - while I like your poses well enough, I find that you are definitely fighting with the light on these, and I'm afraid the light appears to be winning. The back-lit shots are really tough without supplemental fill light, as both the exposure and generally the flatness of the light are not a winning combination.

I think you should be able to pull a bit more out of the images with some care in post though. I'm thinking that you can live with a white background that is getting close to blowing out and then accentuating everything with a negative (white) vignette to pull the image together. Correct the exposure on your model's skin and do a bit of a crop.

    Kind of along these lines....

Thankyou Manfred, that's great advice & a wonderful result.
I appreciate it very much you taking the time to show exactly what you mean, with the image as well.

Another nice series, Kay. I agree with Manfred comments and solution. BTW, I like the third shot.

Thanks for posting these Kay. In addition to being excellent in their own right (nicely composed, and of course they highlight "Miss Fashionista" without distractions) they are an interesting contrast to your first set. The new ones are more aligned to what "portrait purists" would like to see, but (and this is a personal perspective) the first set is the more interesting one. The setting adds an individuality to the shoot, and broadens the story to attractive model + attractive setting.

    You did both very well!
