    Henrhyd; December last year...

As the title suggests I took this photo in December last year, completely overlooked it at the time and just literally came across it about an hour ago.

I decided to process it and am happy with the results, I plan to visit this location on the weekend as it is only a 10 minute drive to explore different PoV.

Matt, I realy like this one. You also managed to avoid b;owing the sky which I have always tended to do while trying to keep enough light on the grotto. I've said this before but you create a beautiful 'celtic' feel to these images, though if anyone ever gets rid of that fallen tree we will be robbed of a real focal point for Henrhyd

Good luck for the weekend... more rain forecast for the Midlands, but the falls in full spate will be interesting to see.

A nice capture and no mistake Matt,

James is correct that you manage to achieve a distinctive style to these shots.

On this one, if mine, I would crop to lose 10% width off the right hand side - I cannot see anything there worth seeing and doing a crop would place the fall more toward the right 'thirds' line.

It is a pleasant shot of the falls - not too slow a shutter speed (not a fan of cotton wool water!), and it appeals to me even more after removing the magenta tones.

    Cheers.

One of the better images of that kind I've seen, well done.

    Thanks James,

I've heard they have been doing some work there to make it more accessible? So I'm a bit worried

Great minds I done that just after posting! Didn't noticing the overpowering Magenta at first.

The sparkle in the falls so nicely complements the style of the rest of the image. Everything seems right out of a magical land of fairies.

Don't know how much dodging and burning you've done on this, but whether it's much or not, the resulting management of the light and the tones is wonderful.

I moved it about in the Lightbox and whilst I take Dave's point about 'what's there on the right to see?', I'm not sure that the effect of moving the waterfall more to the right of the frame does work. That one is, at the end of the day, going to be down to personal taste.

I'm very much on board with Philip and the dislike of cotton wool water. I think you've got the shutter speed 'spot-on' in this one.

    A pleasure to look at.

Hi Matt, beautiful image It is not a very relistic rendition with the magenta color cast but I like it. You already said that you reduced the magenta after posting the image, so the new version must be looking more real and of course beautiful again.

Thanks Donald, you were right about the crop as well... doesn't suit the image.
