Haven't formed an opinion on the moon yet but that rainbow I think is really lovely.

I like the first shot, Izzie, that rainbow turns a relatively ordinary scene into something special. The composition of the 2nd is good, but I agree with others about the doof.

I was sort of thinking I should have incorporated the moon with the rainbow but I thought not at the last minute because it will not look too good...being me, it crossed my mind...

    I love them all
    Thank you.

Re the moon and foreground, I haven't tried focus stacking yet but it's true this would be a perfect (and probably relatively easy) situation to start with. Meantime what I usually do is is try to take the moon with some more distant object as foreground, then the same focus usually works for both. It also has the advantage that the distant object looks smaller which makes the moon look bigger.
Thanks for the tip. 'Appreciate it very much.

I'm sure that with a bit more work your colour shot of the moon with foreground tree has scope for further improvement I'm going to play with it when I get some time.

'Will appreciate it, Grahame, I know you will always be there for me...Thanks.

Dave's "be nasty to Izzie" time

Izzie, Izzie, Izzie - You're just making excuses now.

You already had a good, sharp shot of the moon, so why did you need the moon to be there for a re-shoot of just your tree - which I assume was still there?

The point being; you would blend the moon from your first image over the blank area of sky in the second.

Hindsight, of course, is a wonderful thing and I hope you realise I am (to an extent) just 'pulling your leg' here.
That said, I can recall being similarly daft myself, so I know how easy it is to overlook the obvious at the time.

If you want to practice your PP skills, you could try clone/moving the moon slightly - I think it would make a better composition; in relation to the tree branches, if it were (diagonally) about 2/3 of a diameter to left and higher.

I prefer your less noisy Moon B&W to John's, but agree that yours could do with another stop or two of exposure on the moon (not the tree).

    Hope those thoughts help, Dave

Of the moon shots I like the mono best. The rainbow shot is really beautiful! I wish I had taken it!

Because I waited and waited for it to position so I can re-shoot, then it did not come...I was disappointed.. That moon has no right to disappoint me!!! It ain't fair!!!

After hindsight I should have but I got too lazy to go back so I didn't...next time I will think...
