Not as good as Trev's one but I guess that peacock is OK...I will try to shoot more eagles in about two or three months time, maybe I can perfect some BIF ones..appreciate your comments.

Even as is it is a lovely image!
Rita, I had zoomed closer enough removing both the mesh up the top and the distracting light, I thought I had done enough but I value your opinion...I was having a hard time trying to make a better crop actually and that fish, yes, I will do as you suggested. I think it will turn out all right...

In #2 you had great timing on the shot to catch the bit of food in mid air but I wonder about the edge of the ear being almost clipped off on the left side.
You really are improving, keep it up!
Yes, about that ear...I almost fell over after shooting quite a few (6) shots trying to get those pellets coming in and his chewing them...that funny furry thing just kept asking for food and I ended up being fascinated by his teeth and gums instead I lost his ears in most of them...I just chose the best one with almost this complete ear...and al! the pellet in the air got it made.... thanks for the suggestions and the comments. I really do appreciate it very much coming from you...

I appreciate your preference and nice comment Joe...I like #4 too. It seems some photo session position works well than others. Those ones where I almost topple over just to get some shots seems to be more successful than just straight level shots...I must have looked like a contortionist doing my stuff to the onlookers. The only thing I did not do was lay on the ground sort of thing...my husband would have been appalled and call an ambulance...nearly.

Thanks Greg...nice of you to comment. These are my first successful owl shots. I have been trying so hard to catch the eyes but most of my shots from the ground up it senses my camera and turn its head around for some reason...I have some BiF ones but they are both butt shots so I did not bother uploading...the third shot and 4th ones are still good though. I like them to...

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Nice to hear from you again...

You certainly nailed most of these Izzie

The Eagle No 3 is my favourite of the batch but that peacock and camel are joint second. And you included a bug

Izzie, funny we almost always/only ever see a peacock with his plumage fully extended. Instead in your #1 shot we get to see how the bird looks when not on display. With that top knot of feathers he looks like a Dr. Seuss character, or maybe a Jim Henson puppet. Either case, cool shot.

My other other favorite is #3. The handler is perfectly OOF so as not to detract from the magnificent Great Horned Owl (and yet in focus enough so as not to be a distracting blurry blob) and those amazing yellow/orange eyes.

You haven't ID'd #4. For some reason I want to say beaver. I don't know why, I just get a beaver 'feel' looking at the shot.

The bug was accidental, Grahame -- I only saw it when I was doing the pp...so I mentioned it. Thank you for your comment. When you give me a good rating like right now here, I feel I have improved from a few months ago...and it makes me feel good. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your help now and in the past. I do appreciate them all and remember.

"Accidents" do happen at times with some of my shots. I was really focusing on the eyes of the bird and when this came out, I was very pleased.

Thanks for your comments, Jack...here is the original shot with just the black/white points done..almost straight out of camera but I did extract it out of ACR and not other editing done, just image sizing after converting it to jpg. I was really that close. Can you see my camera and me in his eyes...? I am somewhere there...

    Three more for tonight...C&C please...

Thank you so much for your comments. I do appreciate your passing by...
