A happier Kolby
We rescued Kolby, a young Maltese mix, earlier this week from a high kill San Bernardino County shelter.
BTW: I always tag the entry photos as such. Somehow, in the past, one of my entry photos was found on a another rescue site with no explanation that this was a record shot to establish a baseline for what the dog looked like when we rescued it. I don't want anyone ever to think that we are placing a dog in this condition up for adoption. We pride ourselves that our adoptable dogs are always clean and neatly groomed.
Kolby has made himself at home and loves our doggie toy box. We wonder if he had ever seen toys before. Rather than playing with the toys, he sleeps on the soft plush animals in the toy box.
We scour the Internet postings of virtually all the local shelters and are shelter partners with most of these shelters. Being a shelter partner allows us to pull dogs without having to submit an in-depth application because we have submitted that information previously and the shelter keeps it on file. Additionally, some shelters (not all) waive their adoption fees when we rescue dogs from their shelter.

Kolby is beautiful...I like how you and your wife takes care to tidy him up and all your rescues. I can't even give Roxie her bath nowadays...she refused to go to the bathroom with me...
