Desert Scene
Loan tree, cross bedding in the sandstone (petrified sand dunes) and a beehive formation. Lots to look at.

Re: Desert Scene
And a killer sky to contrast it all. Great scenery, great image!
I assume you used a polarizer as there is some banding in the sky.

Thanks to all. I did indeed use a polarizer.

Re: Desert Scene
Quite a scene. This is not something I have much experience with, but wouldn't the use of a polarizer at that short focal length account for the vignetting in the top left?

Re: Desert Scene
Beautiful contrasting colours. If Polariser was used, I'd turn a slightly to the left and that beautiful blue sky would even out.
Well done

Re: Desert Scene
Compositionally, it might be worth loosing a slice from the RHS but this is gorgeous, particularly when viewed in the Light box.

Thank you Binnur and Izzie. I hope to go back to this area and camp out so I can get the morning and evening light.
