    Reflections

A scene that could help you to reflect on life. At present on holiday in Scotland found this glorious spot, on a side road, just south of Aviemore. Late afternoon in winter sun just going down and not a breath of wind. Amazing conditions hope you like the image.

Nice image. I think I might try to crop to make the break less centered--e.g., maybe crop off some of the sky, which doesn't have a lot of detail anyway. BTW, you appear to have a LOT of sensor dirt. In particular, look at the left-hand part of the sky and water.

Hi Gordon, I like the image but IMO it needs some more PP for a more attractive look because it looks pale. I'm uploading two versions of your image. Please let me know if you don't want your images re-edited and uploaded by other members, then I will remove my edits immediately. This is usually the way we learn and we help each other I made them very quickly but my goal is not to edit your image thoroughly, I just want to give you an idea.

First edit: Added clarity, vibrance and saturation in ACR and sharpened with a high radius with unsharp mask in PS

    Reflections

Second edit : Applied HDR toning in PS and blended with the original image by using the softlight blending mode in PS . This one is more aggressive.

Binnur - As Gordon stated in the first sentence of his post, this is to help us reflect on life. While your edits maybe good for postcard or reproduction purposes, I don't find them to be as good at inducing a reflective mood state of mind. Can you get what I mean?
Don't get me wrong, if I were going to hang this on a wall I'd do some of what you've done. But for contemplative thinking, I like the original version.

Gordon - Great shot, I only hope I come upon a lake that is that calm someday too. And I agree with Dan, clean that sensor up.

    Re: Reflections

Alan , I saw this image yesterday but I have just had time to comment on the image today. So, I completely forgot what was written in the beginning of the first post and I treated the image as a landscape

Gordon, sorry about my misunderstanding . I should have been more careful

I like both, your original and Binnur's edits. Each has its own merits.
