I'm having a difficult time understanding the picture...what's going on?
Like the colors in the ladies garment though.

I really like this image Tejal. Over time carrying those bricks on their head must be hard on the neck and back joints.

The lady with colourful dress is giving bricks and the ladies standing down are carrying those bricks on their head and carrying till the truck standing behind.

Yes, it is so difficult to carry 10-12 bricks on head all together. I was bit scard seeing them carrying like this.

Certainly tough work with only the minimum of protection. They must have thick skin to handle those bricks.

Tejal - this whole series with the brick carriers is extremely well done. This type of operation is something people that live in developed countries do not see, but is quite common in much of Africa and Asia.

Thnx a lot. Even for me it was a new experience watching the whole activities and realised that for some people it is really very tough to earn their bread butter.

I kelp on thinking about this for the whole day after my this visit.

It always amazes me that the traditional clothing of India always looks so clean, yet western garb picks up dust like a sponge.

This is really nicely done, Tejal. Interesting perspective/composition and great contrast between the colorful clothes and the rest of the nearly monochrome scene. Really well seen and captured.

I have seen a movie once about brickmaking and process stuck in my mind for a long time and everytime I see some activities like this. Very interesting here because the participants are mostly women with colourful garbs. Very good composition, Tejal...good angle too.
