Boab...would like them a whole ton better were you to tone down the brights.
Interesting set of images.
All I can say is that, were they mine, I would set the white point no higher than RGB 250.
Deleted the adjustments 'cos the more ah looked at them the less ah liked them...
Hey...your the artist and they're your images...who is to say which is better?
Hi Boab. I like your composition on the first, but I think your subjects get lost in the overall saturation and contrast, which leads to a lack of separation from the oof background.
Hi Jeff and a HAPPY NEW YEAR...
The point of the shots was that they are impressions. There's no saturation and next tae no contrast used, it's all "in camera" stepping back tae be just OOF. Increasing exposure by half tae one stop, tae emphasize the light and colours (transparency film). Sharpness and separation was incidental tae the compositions. It was all about the light...
PS the reason, that the plant (foreground right) in #2 is in focus, was that ah didn't want a completely impressionist/bokeh effect, so angled the camera slightly tae get that DoF and sharpness. Ye can see on the foreground bottom leaf where focus begins.
