We've had lots of rain and record breaking temperatures. The rain let up for a little on Christmas Eve and I had the urge to burn some calories and take some photos.
This hike was to a place in the Blue Ridge Mountains named Spy Rock. It provides a great overlook (when it is not cloudy) into the Shenandoah Valley and was used for this purpose during the civil war in mid 1860s.
As you can see, high and low altitude clouds, were abundant. The wind was fairly brisk. Shots were taken without a tripod.
I was surprised to become aware of the amount of color there in December. Hope you like them. C&C welcome.
