I really liked the colour of the first pair and third and fourth of the second set.....Please carry on.... i enjoy them
The second image for me.
If you are photographing rusty junk you need to be rather extreme in the lighting to produce an interest effect with plenty of contrast. I suspect you could have pushed the contrast a little bit more.
Just one slight negative thought. The area towards the bottom of that image is starting to become fractionally soft.
Thanks Geoff, I'll try some more contrast. Maybe I'll try this stuff again later on. I hadn't notice the focus
Hi Mark,
I agree with Geoff that the second rusty shot was better.
Personally, I find the contrast in third, "More better?", too much.
The focus looks to have been on the rear most bolt, so you've not managed to get the most from the DoF from your f/9.
Hope those observations are helpful, Dave
I was pretty happy with these Given this is pretty new to me. One issue I had was the frayed ends on some of the thread on some of the bobbins. no matter what I tried I couldn't clone them out. No matter where I sampled all I got was grey blurs. I cloned out some funky reflections that worked fine.

I like the second one better too and now that you had edited the second one, I feel the same as Dave on that you overdid the process.
On the other hand, the last submission for Week 4 are all very nice. I particularly preferred #3 and #4 as they are neater.
