Hi Binnur, I think that wether you lighten the foreground or crop is a matter of taste.
I really like the image for the rich colours in the sky and how they reflect in the water.

I realize that brilliant sunsets such as this one are stunning. However, it's the detail in the shadows that is so evocative of the mood that comes only with the last few rays of light before darkness sets in. It's that mood that makes this image so special for me and it's the sunset and reflection on the water that are like the icing on the cake.

I like the richness of the colour in your image, Binnur...this is not just another of those sunrise/sunset image -- this is an excellent shot by all means! With the panorama crop, if mine, I will not make it too narrow. In fact, I'd rather leave it as is...

Thanks for the encouraging comments my friends , I'm glad that you like the image I'm uploading a panoramic crop , IMO it looks nice but the image lost the feeling of vastness by cropping the FG, so I think I still prefer the original.(I cropped the JPG image and saved it again.That's why the IQ may not look as good)

Matt, bringing out the details in the FG draws the attention from the sun and its reflections that's why I edited the image this way.I have 5 bracketed exposures of this scene and I blended and edited some of them to get this look.In the exposures -1 and -2 the land and the FG is dark with no details at all.

Missed this one Binnur. Original format for me because I agree that the space of the first image adds to the feel and don't you dare add any pink into that gorgeous orange light.

Mainly because theres not as much dark foreground, beautiful shot!

The panorama crop makes the image more like a traditional sunset image in which all the emphasis is on the sunlight and its reflection. It's a nice image but, unlike the original, there are millions of images like it.

Matt , I still prefer the original image but I will shoot and edit another sunset image with a lighter FG for you. I leave by the sea, so, it shouldn't be a difficult job for me

Good on you trying the options but sticking with your own vision, Binnur. I poked around with a couple of different crops and agree that none of them were meaningful positive changes. The best version I tried was cropping from the top. I agree that keeping the FG makes it more than just another sunset image.

I think your first instinct was probably correct as the two updates seem to have lost something.

I think you have captured a fairly realistic sunset; we see colours where there is light, but everything else is turning into a monochrome view. While more detail in the foreground might be desirable, I don't think it will work all that well because it just wouldn't look right. The shot is just at the verge of turning into "blue hour" and the cool tones of the foreground and middle ground reflect that reality. The brilliant colours of the setting sun is what this image is all about, and the rest just completes your vision.

[FWIW it 'appears' to me to be ever so slightly tilted downward to the left. Can't tell if it's the purple clouds on the horizon, my eye or an actual tilt.]
