Thanks John and Nandakumar.

I like this one, Dave...nicely composed and beautiful post processing here. Just right.
Thanks Izzie.
What a lovely building! The tile work is lovely and you did a great job of placing the light pole so it is unobtrusive. I agree with Izzie about the processing. Do you know what the carved emblem in the center of the facade is? I'm really curious and wonder if it is two intertwined flowers which would be appropriate for the era.
I'm off for a walking tour of endangered mid-century architecture in a neighboring tomorrow morning so hopefully I will be able to create some good images of that style to share and repay you for indulging me
Thanks,
Shane
Hi Shane
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting. Here is a 100% crop of the emblem. According to this link, the letters "McW" are surrounded by "Lily of the Valley" flowers. This may be a (slightly obscure) reference to the location of the building which is in an inner city area known as "Fortitude Valley", or colloquially just "The Valley".
I'll keep an eye out for your posts.
Dave
Thank you for indulging me yet again! What lovely design and tile work and the history of the building is very interesting. Good thing it is listed on the historic register or you may have lost it due to progress which would have been very sad.
I see flood lights and have a new assignment for you...I bet the building looks awesome lit up at night! You do own a tripod right
