Nicely composed as converted.
I enjoy photos of signs and this one is particularly nice.
I laughed at that mixture of signs. If you connect those two "The Power is in your hands" and Find Your Beach...then look down there inside that fence, are they sandbags? You can probably make your own beach too.Just find a place, the power is in your hands...what a nice connection!!! Good job Jack...
Thanks Mike.
Thanks Izzie. Not sure what's in the bags, the place is a lumber yard and the bags are stored outside, so whatever they are moisture isn't likely to ruin it. It was a nice coincidence that the signs worked together.
Thanks John.
Jack,
It's a morass of juxtaposed signs, but this is what makes it an intriguing and explorable photo.
Nicely seen.
Sergio
Nice image Jack, I love the busyness of the shot and a good conversion.
Nicely done
Thanks Sergio, an apt description if there ever was one.
Thanks Matt.
Thanks Nandakumar.
Nice work Jack! It's tough to makes something of that jumble of signs. You did a great job and agree with Sergio that it is a great example of a busy composition that is explorable.
As an aside, I think that adding a title to the image as you have done really helps the viewer with their first foray into the image.
very interesting composition, a lot to hold the interest, I really enjoy these 'scenes'
Thanks Shane. When I took this picture, or rather, as I was standing on the corner contemplating if I should take the image, I noticed the 'beach' billboard. It was lost in a jumble of visual distractions. I think the obvious thing that makes this image work to any degree is the clear, deep focus.
As for the title, I figured there might a few people who would wonder what the 'subject' was, so a signpost to point out the way (pun intended) seem a proper choice.
Thanks Kay. I suppose on some level this kind of shot is somewhat comparable to a landscape/scenery shot.
You've made a messy scene into a very powerful shot
Thanks John.
