    Tea Picker #2

This is actually the first tea picker image I took yesterday, but was struggling a bit with the PP work. Her head covering provided some shade to her face, but I had an issue with a low contrast face in a high contrast scene. I think I've worked out an appropriate PP approach.

I'd say you worked it out. Nicely done.

Those ladies must have some strong necks.

I cannot say it is a beautiful shot because it isn't. I like the other tea lady shot with the eye contact with your camera. This is just nicely processed. Sorry.

I don't think either of the shots are beautiful shots, nor are they meant to be.

I find that too many images that I see taken of people who live and work in developing countries are little more than caricatures, and that is something I am striving to avoid. I want to show people who is responsible for that lovely cup of tea you are enjoying as well as giving a view of the working conditions. There's nothing beautiful about that, but treating these people respectfully in my images is my goal.

An excellent job of managing the lighting 'problem' around the face.

As per your goal, this and the other image you published on here, are powerful social documentary images that inform and educate.
