A nice series Richard - but picture 1 is outstanding for me, I'm blown away by that one.

Looking at it on my phone, I would enlight a bit the bee, but it could be an effect of the screen, not comparable to a good monitor.

They all look good to me. Correct exposure with plenty of depth and nice compositions.

Excellent shots and composition but I am still wondering if that last one is a beehive or a wasp hive...I seriously think it is the latter as those critters doesn't look like bees at all. Good exposure on that one.

Thanks Izzie, its a paper wasps' nest. They are quite docile until disturbed. They often build under the eaves of houses or tables; the best way to get rid of them is to hang a jar of kerosene under the nest - they very quickly take the hint and depart.

Thanks Nicola, I've tried to get just the bee a bit lighter but can't quite get the result I wanted:

That first shot is awesome. Colors seem a bit washed out in the second and third. And you're just crazy for shooting the fourth

I think #1 is a stunner. The flower is great. I do wonder about the bee. My eyes wander from bee to flower. I do like the flower. That is only my opinion.

It has all been said already but I have to add my compliments. That first shot is amazing, Richard.
