    Rider and Horse

I chanced upon this rider and her horse as they were exiting the stable headed perhaps for competition or awards. The rider's name had just be called over the PA system so there as a bit of stress in the moment (for both of us). I asked if I could get a quick photo, at first she hesitated but as did I but then I explained that I'd only take a second and she paused for this photo. I wish I would I have gotten her contact info so I could send her this photo. Interesting the many things one learns from a just a moment in time.

    PP using Lightroom. C&C appreciated.

Nicely done... I have shot in stables and think that the lighting can be challenging...

    Nicely done image Sam.

On my screen the image has a fairly noticeable magenta colour cast. Over and above that, I tend to add a slight warm tone to most of my people shots (I find they look a bit better than an image that is strictly neutral.

Thanks for the comments Manfred. I don't know how the magenta crept in or why I did not notice it. I tried to address that as well as add a little warm tone using my meager LR skills in the update below.

Nice capture, Sam. I like the horse's cynical expression compared to the excitement in the rider's face.

Good shot, Sam. She looks excited but relaxed. You obviously made her feel comfortable.

This is an excellent quick shot, Sam... I love her smile and the the light on her face did not detract from the image at all. The eyes of the horse is actually nice, like s/he is liking her. I think with your edit, you need to brighten up the white of the eyes of the horse a little. Just my opinion.

Nice picture but I don't like the attitude of the horse's ears. My distant memory is that it is a sign that the horse is about to bite. Compare them with those of the horse in the background.

Thanks Tony, I'm glad you pointed that out. I will keep and eye out for that characteristic in future shots.
