Nice efforts on both, very expressive eyes on the little boy. The girl almost seems lost within the composition, however the angle of the roof and the leading lines of the debris does help bring the viewers eyes back towards her.
Ashish, I like the first image. It is a nicely shot and processed portrait of your two subjects.
The second shot is working less well for me. There is so much else going on in it that we almost miss the girl. Part of the problem is the highlights on the roof. Our eyes are drawn to the brightest part of the image (and out of the frame) and that means we really seem to miss what is going on at the bottom of the shot.
I like the first one, Ashish. Though your DOF was a bit too flat. Viewed large Grandmom's eyes are soft while the child's are tack sharp. For a small presentation it's not an issue.
On the second shot Manfred summed it up pretty well.
You haven't changed much Ashish , I like the first image very much
Ashish,
Two great photos that pull at the heart strings.
I really like the affection and closeness of the first. In the second if you want to make the little girl more prominent, you could try an alternate crop and or perhaps tone down the bright areas.
Nonetheless, two wonderful photos.

As usual, I am late to this post. I prefer the first shot, Ashish...it is a great Kodak moment composition.
I like them both but agree with most of the comments already made.
An approach that may work with the first one would be to burn in the woman's face so she appears to be in shadow and becomes very much a secondary supporting element in the photo. By doing so the soft focus may be even less of an issue. It may also result in it being preferable to crop the left hand side closer to her face.
