Shadowgrams. Nice efforts, I like the first one but the second looks like the aftermath of a night on the town.
Hah!
Good one (for the first image)
I'd have thought you'd want to reserve that for your own use John.
Hi Pat,
#1:
Shame about that knob of mortar, I'd be tempted to get up there with a club hammer and cold chisel and knock it off flat, so its shadow doesn't upset your artistry
Apart from that, I like it, well spotted.
#2
Not sure I understand this one, vastly different from #1 (unless there's a connection I've not made - which wouldn't be the first time).
It is a complex image with probably three layers; distant street, inside the cafe and whatever that is apparently reflected in the window this side that (I think) you have shot through. Not to mention the woman and the newspaper(?)
I feel I'm missing the point of it
Perhaps I don't get 'out on the town' enough
Dave
Thank you John and Dave for your suggestion and thoughts. The second image is indeed shot through the window of a cafe, I saw it and just had to take a photo, at the back of the cafe is a large mirror and reflected in it is the street behind me as I am taking the shot.
It was last Sunday morning and I met the Lady who happens to be a friend of mine with her Sunday papers and asked her if she would like to be in the photo and she replied "why not", thoughts of a dreamy quite early Sunday morning flashed into my mind.
Both images were captured using Black and White Film.
Thanks again,
Pat
Hi Pat,
Yeah, I know that feeling; Dave's 'through the cafe window' shot.
Cheers, Dave
