    Shenandoah Morning - April

Seems I loose a bit of detail in the upload but thought it was still interesting enough to share.

Nice image Sam. Looks like the clouds are getting ready to swallow the mountains.

Nice image, Sam. I just love misty mornings.

From a technical standpoint the upper part of the sky looks a bit over-processed. But I'm viewing on a hi-res tablet which trends to high contrast/saturation so could contribute to the look.

The clouds look fine in the lightbox view; but I'm wondering about a crop from the bottom and going to 3 x 2 ratio to give full impact to those clouds.

Back on a computer screen now and the above statement is definitely attributable to the tablet screen. On my laptop, though still not a calibrated screen, the clouds look fine.

    Lovely image.

I think you are right Geoff. I give it a shot later. Thanks!

Thanks Dan. The SOOC was significantly under exposed as I was trying not to blow out the highlights. Thus, I had to do a lot of PP to get anything out of it. I was also trying to achieve a bit of painted effect. In the end I intentionally over exposed the left sunny area because I liked the looks of it. If there is a definition of "over-processed", this one would could be an example. When I get PS some day I may take multiple exposures...although I know LR has and HDR capability, I very seldom like the results.

I prefer that version. The trees in the bottom left corner were feeling just a little on the 'heavy' side with the original image.
