    For C&C - a street scene that I've thought hard about. I like the metaphors in this one.

    Is that walkway as dangerous as it looks? Looks like an easy drop off. Interesting capture.

    It's actually a path along the river Thames - the drop is only a couple of feet at low tide, and it leads to the sandy / stony shoreline. The Thames is an estuary at this point, it has quite a different character to the Thames in central London and very different to the rolling green to the west of the city.

    However, from this picture, it could be any urban setting - that's the beauty of using framing to remove all the details except those that tell the story. I often get this wrong, including too much, but I feel I've captured the key points only in this one.

    I normally don't prefer selective color but, I think that it works well in this case...

    I like it - my only concern is that it divides the image into two. I could composite some coloured graffiti onto the wall behind the subject but this would probably distract from the human element of the image.
