Beautifully converted image Sergio. It's street so you take what you're given, I know, but:
I like the pose of the man, and for some reason I love the bright white trainers - however, the dog just isn't working for me. I would suggest pulling up the levels on the dog (curves) but I think it is down to the fact it is shot right from the rear. Feel free to insert your own doggy-style pun at this point.
It's just opinion of course, and I can't see what else you could do if that is the shot that presented itself to you - technically it is very good.
I like that the dog is looking at the door, perhaps waiting for someone to come out of the home so everyone can go on the walk. I'm not sure whether the man is scowling at the photographer or being impatient about having to wait, but I prefer the latter interpretation.
I agree that bringing out some more detail in the dog would be helpful.
I like the image Sergio, I would reduce the hightlights a bit on the shoe on the RHS
There appears a certain amount of exasperation to this man's (pained?) expression and, with what strikes me as an anticipatory stance on the part of the dog, it strikes me that they are both waiting for someone to come out and join them. Great shot Sergio!
[As an aside, this photo is a great example of why exterior staircase risers should be painted a dark(ish) color, so you don't see all the toe scuffs.)
I'll look into pulling more detail out of the dog, because the dog and it's body language is important to the scene.
Thanks for commenting, Simon.
It was the look on the man's face and attentiveness of the dog that attracted me to them. It was obvious they were both waiting (outside a home style store front) but in a different state of composure. The man's expression did not change while I took the photo. He did, however, manage to crack a smile after I removed the camera from my eye and smiled at him.

John, thanks for commenting.
Binnur, thank you for commenting. The shoes seem fine to me, but I will take another look.
Jack,
his exasperation (pain) might be due to his waiting outside a store at La villita. This area is prime real estate for local arts and crafts. He might be wondering how much it's going to set them back once they're finished shopping.
It is too bad about the risers.
Thanks for commenting.

The risers' style is one of 25 years ago, very narrow for a full sized shoes. It seems that if one goes up there on its tippy toes the end will hit the wall of the risers and it is impossible to really keep that clean. The pose of the guy is excellent. Idon't think he wants you sticky-beaking on his thoughts...
