Thanks Binnur... I wanted to have more of the tree to make it an environmental shot. Here is a square crop. Do let me know your thoughts.

IMO the square crop is much better. I understand the original intent but with this shot it wasn't working. I think because the bird blends in so well with the color of the tree bark. Beautiful bird.

Yes, the square crop works for me. What you have discarded above this crop was mostly out of focus so I don't think there has been much lost by cropping.
