One of the most painful sunburns I ever had was from wearing a nice straw hat shaped like a fedora that wasn't solid on top. I ended up with the weave pattern blazed on the top of my head.

Yeah, I will wear a baseball cap backwards to keep the sun off my neck, or even sideways to cover an ear if in the same position for ages on a sunny day*, such as at an airshow.
* Yeah, it can happen, even in the UK!
More usually I wear the baseball cap 'correctly' to keep the rain off my glasses.
However, I do have a 'pet peeve' about backwards lens hoods, except when used in that way to prevent inadvertent movement of focus ring; e.g. in darkness.
Not that it reaches that far back on many of my lenses, nor do I often shoot in the dark.
Nice catch!
I like that you've caught: the tongue; the "not aware of anything else" eyes; the rotated cap; and (of course) the lens hood in the packed for camera bag travel position . . .
As for any critique - I'd just go in a bit tighter and in so doing crop the woman camera right background as she is the most distracting element.
1:1 works pretty good for my eye, rough here and that also re removes most of the grey jumper at camera left:
Collecting these types of images can be quite addictive and you can add me to the collector's list.
