Surfers Took Advantage of the Swell - II

And again. This guy is very good. It wasn't until I opened the images on the computer that I discovered I had captures so many of him. I am amazed by the capabilities of the 7D.

Still waiting.....OK, these are all very good. I would have taken a lot more of him myself. He looks quite handsome... and wet...and boy! does he know for sure you are taking shots of his form. He was born to surf for sure...

Again, Greg, I think you're giving way too much credit to your camera. You got these shots because you placed yourself in a great shooting position and you timed them well. I reckon you could have done just as well with my 100D and my EF75-300 lens. And I and many other people probably couldn't have done as well with the 7D.

    Thanks Izzie, Matt, and Simon.

Izzie, there are a few more of him (and others) on my flikr page. Clicking the link under any of these photos will take you there.

Matt, I was using my EF 70-300mm L, and the focal length varied with the different waves and riders. These were about 260mm. It's in the exif. ISO 400, SS 3200.

Simon, you are very kind. However, with the 7d's 10fps burst, it captures a lot that the slower xxx would miss.
