    Swollen-Tighed Beetle

    These little beetles were attracted by the flowering spinach in the garden, and it seemed to be a good setting for a foto shoot..

    1: A male looking out for a female

    You have done well to catch one in flight; they move so quickly and erratically.

    Two excellent captures. My only thought is that you could lower the highlights slightly Rudi. Nice work.

    Thanks Geoff, most shots were way OOF, apart from a few 'budshots'..

    Yes John, now that you mention it, lowering the highlights is an obvious step, so will do . Thanks for pointing that out.

    @Dan, my little book says it is very common in West-Europe and south off England. It does not say anything about oversees.
